Pride of Place Leeds is delighted to have won the William Sutton Prize 2021 for Social Innovation.
At the William Sutton Prize Awards Ceremony on March 9th, Pride of Place Living were amongst six organisations from across the country nominated for the prize.
Clare Miller, Chief Executive of Clarion Housing Group, said:
“In the fourth year of The William Sutton Prize, we narrowed our focus in the hope of identifying concepts that could tackle some of the key issues affecting society today. I look forward to seeing how these creative projects will make a real difference in their communities, and it’s a real honour to be able to support them through the Prize.”
The £20,000 prize fund will be used to further develop the concept with the support of finance and design experts, as well as running workshops to engage with and secure the support of the LGBTQ+ community in Leeds
The workshops will give the Leeds LGBTQ+ community an opportunity to discuss and shape living spaces in innovative and inclusive ways.
This work is still in its development stages, and winning this prize will play a key role in the growth of Pride of Place Living
