From Leeds Building Society:
“We know that for some people access to safe and secure housing can feel totally out of reach. But as a purpose-led business, we’re committed to supporting local good causes that help people have a place to call home.
Today we’re announcing that five community projects will receive a share of £240,000 from us. The money is being allocated after a Society-wide call to colleagues who teamed up with local organisations to nominate and secure funding for the following projects.
Pride of Place Leeds awarded £41,500
Leeds Asylum Seeker Support Network awarded £27,500
Rush House Limited awarded £76,500.
Latch (Leeds Action to Create Homes) Ltd awarded £54,500.
Keighley Association for Women and Children Centre (KAWACC) awarded £40,000.
We’re excited to be supporting these projects and will share more on how this funding will help people in 2024.”
